Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared food
continues to drive top line sales and bottom line profits in every sector or
retail foodservice. Newk’s Eatery has embraced the consumer focused trend and
continues to drive sales outside the four walls of traditional locations.
Everything from fresh prepared Grad-N-Go to catering Newk’s is expanding its
brand.
When Newk’s Eatery customers began clamoring for
Newk’s culinary classics with a twist at work that they could only find at
Newk’s Eatery, well you guessed it they began catering. Newk’s One-of-a-kind Chicken Salad, Perfect Pimento
Cheese, and Pesto Chicken. Salads fresh-tossed or layered with goodness are all
on the catering menu.
Demand driven Newk’s developed a
new Grab-N-Go concept that is only a 375-square-foot location. It is located within St.
Vincent’s Health System in Birmingham, Alabama.
Newk’s Grab-N-Go location includes a selection of the brand’s most
popular entrees and sides, a small-scale version of the brand’s signature
Roundtable and a small dining area.
Alan Wright, vice
president of franchise operations and marketing stated “There is demand for
Newk’s Eatery stores in non-traditional locations,” …“We are looking at a
variety of ways to extend the brand beyond four walls. The expansion not only
builds awareness of our rapidly expanding brand, but it adds revenue streams
that enhance our franchisees’ success.”
Newk’s
Grab-N-Go selection of salads, sandwiches, sides, soups, and homemade cakes are
in keeping with Newk’s Eatery restaurants, the Grab-N-Go selections are
prepared fresh daily and the location features a Newk’s Roundtable, a circular
table that offers complimentary spices and toppings, allowing guests to
customize their menu items.
