Dunkin’ Team Building Sales

Driving top line sales and bottom-line profits today requires that you have enough trained employees that show up for work every day according to Steven Johnson, Grocerant Guru® at Tacoma, WA based Foodservice Solutions®

The simple fact is that all of complaining about paying foodservice workers $15 an hour has reinforced that thinking in the minds-eye of the foodservice worker that their employer really does not care about them.  Johnson, went on to say that restaurant owners, going to TV saying they can’t get any workers when they are offering them only part-time work without benefits will not help.  In fact, it hurts the industry and that specific employer.

Employees want to know that they are wanted, needed, and apricated.  That means they want to be given a path forward not a path to the next job. In fact, a recent survey from retail operations platform Zipline finds that current retail employees feel their company could be doing significantly more to keep their existing workers from heading for the exit door.

Among the survey's findings:

·         42% of retail associates are considering or planning to leave the industry.

·         24% of associates think retailers are doing enough to retain talent and build the workforce they need.

·         52% of associates are satisfied in the investment that stores are making in their professional development.

·         43% of associates said they don't feel heard when making suggestions of in-store changes.

Franchisee are hearing from employees that they need and want a stable work environment that includes expand employee benefits the ilk of; 40-hour work weeks, emergency child care, elderly care, paid time off (sick -leave & vacation pay), and tuition reimbursements.

Now Dunkin’ and its franchisees are once again recognizing that the restaurant team members are the true stars of the brand. Now, with franchisees across the country looking to hire up to 20,000 new employees at their locations, the brand will shine the spotlight on some franchisee team members as they share details of their life behind the counter at Dunkin’ restaurants via social media.

In a series of live social media events kicked off by Maria Menounos, former Dunkin’ team member and host of ‘Better Together with Maria Menounos,’ celebrities will interview team members to learn about what makes working at a Dunkin’ restaurant fun and rewarding, and give viewers the chance to win Dunkin’ themed prizes. Inclusion matters for all employees working at foodservice outlets.

The series will kicked off on Wednesday, July 14,on Maria Menounos’ Instagram channel. Additional live events are scheduled for later this summer, and fans can follow along on Dunkin’s social channels to be among the first to discover other celebrity hosts. Each celebrity will be paired with a team member for an interview and a demonstration of how they keep America running, including making and serving Dunkin’s signature beverages and baked goods.

During each live event, viewers will have the chance to win four grand prizes including an exclusive Dunkin’ backpack filled with Dunkin’ merch and accessories*. Viewers will also learn more about career opportunities at participating Dunkin’ franchised restaurants and information regarding visiting local Dunkin’ locations to submit an application.
