So, most of you have read by now that McDonald’s will next month
begin testing food delivery at 200 units in Florida, according to the
Chicago Tribune.
Regular readers of this blog know that in 2016 McDonalds will have recorded $ 1 Billion
in global
delivery sales. The team at Foodservice
Solutions® has been tracking and documenting McDonald’s growth in delivery for
many years.
McDonald’s
ability to take time testing systems, food, and service to understand the
benefits, complications, and outcomes that will drive continue unit level
success is simply the key driver of their continued sector leadership.
Foodservice Solutions® team calls this system Build, Measure, Learn, and
Repeat.
Today
you can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner from McDonald’s for your office, work
place or home in some markets through third-party DoorDash and Postmates. This new U.S. delivery teat will be offered
in the Miami, Orlando and Tampa areas via UberEats’ app-based service.
Success
does leave clues I would suggest that with $1 Billion in global sales this
delivery partnership might become more important to UberEats than
McDonald’s. Delivery is an option for fast food retailers not a necessity.
Business workplaces are looking for affordable options to the pizza and daypart
menu diversity. That is something
McDonald’s can be and do very well.
Foodservice Solutions® team is here to help you drive top line sales
and bottom line profits. Are you Looking A Customer Ahead? Visit www.FoodserviceSolutions.us or Contact Steve@FoodserviceSolutions.us for more information. Remember
