The Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared food
space aka the Grocerant niche continues to expand. The success of the Grocerant
niche is driven by time starved consumers desire for customized home cooked
meals. Foodservice Solutions® Grocerant Guru stated “the exponential growth is
creating new opportunities for both retailers and manufactures simultaneously
targeting consumers in multiple channels”.
Godfather’s Pizza CEO and President Ron Gartlan is not
sitting back listening to old movie sound tracks as winter snow storms came one after the other
this winter. No, Ron Gartlan had his
team bundle 40 years of Godfather’s pizza industry’s knowledge into a new concept
for the chain into a Take-N-Bake concept.
Ron
Gartlan, constant eye on the evolving consumer sees a bright future for
Godfather’s Pizza Inc. “As one of the leaders in the industry, we have to look
at every possibility of driving our business forward by meeting and exceeding
the ever-changing needs of our consumers. We feel bringing our expertise into
the take-N-bake pizza market will be one of the ways we can do just that,”
Gartlan
understands that the consumer is dynamic not static and that Godfather’s Pizza must
be as well. Godgather’s Pizza will open
a new “Big Vinny’s Take & Bake Pizza“ concept restaurant this spring when
the first Big Vinny’s restaurant opens in Lincoln, Nebraska. The concept will
prepare pizzas customized for each customer’s preference that can later be
baked in the comforts of their own home.
Big
Vinny’s Take-N-Bake pizza will be a bit
more than just pizza. The new concept
will also offer “Pesto Chicken, Alfredo Chicken, Primavera, and Italian Meat
Trio pizzas that contain 25 percent fewer calories than the restaurant’s
traditional crust pizzas.” Success does
leave clues and Godfather’s Pizza is moving with the consumer with “Big Vinny’s
Take-N-Bake Pizza”.
