Chick-fil-A the Better For You Chicken Chain is Getting Better

Chick-Fil-A is the largest U.S. Domestic fast-food chicken chain with sales of $4.6 billion and closed on Sundays is focused on garnering even more market share from rival KFC which they past in sales for the first time just last year.
With a focus on garnering more Millennials Chick-Fil-A will discard its existing line of sales and opt for a new healthier fresh line of salads and wraps.  In-addition It will post calorie counts on new menu boards.

One core value of Millennials is transparency with that in mind Chick-Fil-A is going to be the first national fast-food chain, to “ open up all of its 1,700 restaurants to instant back-of-the-house tours by curious customers — and give folks a freebie ice cream cone or cookie at the end of the tour.”

Success does leave clues and with sales up 7.7% which is more than twice the restaurant industry average and open only 6 days a week. We think this company with ready-2-eat fresh prepared food is doing lots of things right.  Here are some of the changes coming:

“Iceberg lettuce will be replaced with romaine and mixed baby greens. Fresh ingredients in salads will include strawberries, blueberries, roasted corn and red bell peppers. Even the dressings are getting an upgrade. Out with standards like Blue Cheese, Thousand Island and Caesar; and in with twists like Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette, Avocado Lime Ranch and Honey Sesame.”

The new salads include Grilled Market Salad, Asian Salad and Cobb Salad — all under 430 calories. And instead of salads sitting all day, they'll be prepared throughout the day.
