QuikTrip Drive-Thru Convenience Does Drive Sales

Success does leave clues and Grocerant nicheReady-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh food have fueled new life into QuikTrip according to Foodservice Solutions® Grocerant Guru® Steven Johnson. Given consumers rapid adoption of the fresh food options at QuikTrip the next big thing is expanding drive-thru service at more locations.
As first reported by our own Grocerant Guru® back in 2015 QuikTrip is currently evaluating the launch of its first convenience store with a drive-thru. The chain decided to test a drive-thru at the west Tulsa store after the lease held by a Wendy's ran out.  The drive-thru window was recently added to the QT Kitchens area of the c-store.
Kelly Cooper  speaking for QuikTrip stated "This is a test location to evaluate operations and determine customer acceptance, ….The response has been very good."  Fresh food, fast food, and customer demand have created a platform for the drive-thru test which is part of the chain's efforts to focus on foodservice, according to QuikTrip CEO Chet Cadieux has said that gasoline sales will likely decline in coming years.
With 700 locations QT Kitchens operates from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at most locations and features freshly prepared menu items such as sandwiches, pizza and salads. Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared food drive top line sales and bottom line profits.  Are you prepared to expand your success?
