Global Demand for Grocerant Niche Fresh Fast Flavorful Food Growing

Who does not want to live a complexity free lifestyle? No of the surest ways to reduce complexity today is by buying grocerant niche Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared food according to Steven Johnson, Grocerant Guru® at Tacoma, WA based Foodservice Solutions®.
Today every sector of retail foodservice is experiencing the greatest growth from grocerant niche Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared food that is portable including chain restaurants, grocery store, and convenience stores according to Johnson.
Differentiation in retail foodservice does not mean different it means familiar but with a twist according to Johnson.  Well, according to a 2018 report by EuroMonitor the new wave of Millennial customer eating habits is not so new as it includes many of the same things their parents ate including vegan options, palo / Atkins, gluten free, and organic’s but the new twist is most all meals and meal components are now portable according to Johnson.
The EuroMonitor study found “Portability and grab-and-go convenience remain critical, millennial dietary habits stand to revolutionize the C-store channel that has been anything but health-conscious in the past,”  7-Eleven is well-known for its syrupy Slushies and a variety of grab-and-go foods laden with animal ingredients. But even it is beginning to change its way. Customers can find Lenny & Larry vegan high-protein cookies, That’s It Fruit Bars, grab-and-go hummus, and more plant-based options.
Regular readers of this blog have been reading about Green Zebra Grocery, a Portland, Oregon-based convenience store that is about to open its fourth location, customers can choose from healthier takes on 7-Eleven classics like kombucha slushies and a full-service coffee bar, as well as fresh produce from local farms, bulk bin foods, vegan snacks, and offerings from local brands. “We think of our stores as a human recharging station as opposed to the traditional convenience store, which tears down your health,” said Lisa Sedlar, founder of Green Zebra Grocery.
Even the NPD group is becoming a believer in the growth of the grocerant niche ‘better-for-you’ fresh food.  “I don’t believe it’s a passing fad,” said David Portalatin, food industry adviser for trend group NPD. “People bring the same demand for convenience but with a whole new set of food values to go along with it.”
Parents with children at home, either Millennials or Gen Xers, invest more time in preparing the dinner meal. The majority of meals are prepared and consumed in-home and it takes between 10 and 59 minutes to prepare and cook a family dinner. These types of invested dinners are forecast to grow over the next five years, according to NPD’s recent Future of Dinner study. As we discussed in our blog yesterday Yumble is a new solution for those parents.
The simple fact is grocerant niche Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared meals and meal components are the leading driver of the undercurrent evolving the retail food space around the world according to Johnson.  Is your company keeping up? Are you looking a customer ahead?
