At Popeyes Leadership Matters

Foodservice Solutions® Grocerant Guru® often says that “Success does leave clues” and at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen the number one clue is found in its leadership beginning with the CEO Cheryl Bachelder. Running a restaurant chain with 2,540+ units is no small undertaking.  Bachelder has done it while driving top line growth and bottom line profits at Popeyes, garnering a greater share of the ‘chicken’ sector over the past four years than any other company.

Bachelder has proven her the ability to edify Popeyes management team, franchisees, and the brand simultaneously while edifying the restaurant community through charitable work.  In 2015 Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. delivered an impressive global same store sales growth of 5.9%. The annual compounded two year global same store sales growth was 12.5%.

So, how has she done it?  Not to worry, Cheryl shares her formula for success as she is the author of: Dare to Serve: How to Drive Superior Results by Serving Others.  She believes that ‘service preforms’ that serving others is more powerful than you think.

Over the years I have only recommended two books on this blog.  This is the third book I am strongly recommending for anyone interested in how to succeed in business or life, her advice is relevant, timeless and well worth your time.

Since 2007 Bachelder has been at the helm of Popeyes even during the great economic upheaval she has out preformed most other restaurant companies driven top line sales, bottom line profits, and most important increased customer counts.
