Mix and Match Meal Bundling Success at Popeyes

Mix & Match meal bundling as regular readers of this blog know is a hallmark of the grocerant niche according to Foodservice Solutions® Grocerant Guru™. This month Popeye’s restaurants raised the bar once again with a new offering of a $5 Box Meal.
Empowering consumer choice the new offer called the “$5 Bonafide Big Box, is  a full-sized meal that includes either “two pieces of Popeyes Bonafide fried chicken or three Handcrafted Tenders, served with a choice of two signature sides and a buttermilk biscuit”  Customers can chose from bone-in or boneless, and mix and match side dishes offered at each local store.
Hector Munoz, vice president of marketing for Popeyes stated “While the other guys offer a sandwich or a junior meal for $5, at Popeyes we knew we could do better, and the $5 Bonafide Big Box proves that.
Mix and Match meal bundling within the chicken sector is nothing new however when you integrate all of the Foodservice Solutions® 5 P’s of food marketing into a offering top line sale and bottom line profits are sure to follow.
