Bud’s Chicken and Seafood Restaurant Success Clues

When your family name is on the building Quality, Service, Friendliness become the foundation of lasting   success.  The grocerant niche filled with Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh preparedfood was not the driver of success 1950’s that it is today for the foodservice sector. However, Bud’s Chicken and Seafood restaurants have evolved and continue to set a standard in quality, service, and friendliness within the grocerant niche.

Back in the day (1957) Bud Brinkman opened his first unit Bud’s Chicken and Seafood a take-out restaurant. The original menu featured a wide variety of items, but consumer demand began shaping Bud’s into a restaurant specializing in southern-style fried chicken, seafood, and homemade salads. Success clue number one was Bud Brinkman knew customers are dynamic not static and brands must evolve.

Fresh prepared food starts at Bud’s by preparing food from scratch.  Bud’s chicken arrives fresh, never frozen. It is lightly breaded and cooked to golden perfection. Bud’s famous dinners come with lots of crinkle-cut fries, plus Bud’s special homemade cole slaw, making it a combination that has kept people coming back for generations.  Success clue number two Bud’s team understands the customer price, value, service, and quality equilibrium (portion size matters). Bud’s excels in customer satisfaction.

Consistent family friendly from the beginning Bud’s continues to be known as a family friendly restaurant. Today without interruption, the third generation of family is in position to drive Bud’s success forward.

Bud’s first restaurants were take-out only, but today Bud’s offers sit-down dining as well as convenient drive-thru service. Success clue number three from Bud’s is when you evolve your brand you must vertically integrate the customer brand attributes that are the foundation of your brand into everything you do as you evolve in Bud’s case that is Quality, Service, Friendliness.

The grocerant niche is not new to everyone and our team at Foodservice Solutions® congratulates the team at Bud’s for helping show us the way to success.
