The NPD Group reported that Millennials “are preparing more meals at home than ever before”. In fact NPD found Millennials under the “age of 35 as a group consumed eight more meals at home over the last year.”

Eating at home in front of the 65 Inch HDTV catching up on a favorite TV programs, (binge watching), watching a live sporting event, or even the Nightly new Millennials are find that food and furniture are a perfect match.
In NPD's "Encouraging More Visits from Millennials report they found that," this younger generation opts to cook more meals at home because it "saves money, is healthier, tastes better, and they enjoy cooking and have the time to do so."
What is interesting is that this report outlines a story of Millennials buying meal components, bundling them, and preparing in small kitchen appliances. Millennials alone accounted for 26 percent of the $6.2 billion small kitchen appliance market in 2014 – up from 21 percent in 2013 according to the NPD report.
