  1. Stats show that "use of the oven" has been flat or declining for two decades. Even during the Great Recession, the oven remains cold more often than not. That means this revolution in eating at home can't be from Mom or Dad slapping on an apron and rattling those pots & pans. It's from convenience foods, take-out and other ways to make a meal without making it from scratch.
