Look Out 7-Eleven Menu and Goods Ready for Grubhub Delivery

Grocerant niche Ready-2-Eat and Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared food and family table-top staples the ilk of bread, Milk, fruit, salads, and beer at now closer to more homes for quick delivery than ever before according to Steven Johnson, Grocerant Guru® at Tacoma, WA based Foodservice Solutions®.

7-Eleven has more retail stores around the world than any other food retailer.  When you combine all that data with menu insights from Grubhub, 7-Eleven will become a huge threat to both legacy grocery stores and legacy fast-food restaurants according to Johnson.

Grubhub the online food delivery marketplace has released findings from its annual "Year in Food" report. Grubhub analyzed orders from more than 32 million diners to see what rose in popularity during January-November 2021, as compared with the same timeframe in 2020. It has also provided its predictions for the top foods of 2022. Let’s see what was selling online:

Now here is some interesting data as well, similar to 2020, vegan- and vegetarian-friendly orders continued to steadily improve. According to Danone North America's “At the Table: The Multicultural Plant-Based Food Perspective” report, plant-based eating is on the rise among multicultural consumers, particularly the younger Millennial and Gen Z demographics. In 2021, Grubhub found that vegan- and vegetarian-friendly orders grew by 16% and 13%, in comparison with 2020

Now Grubhub in a partnership with convenience store chain 7-Eleven, Grubhub’s diners nationwide wil have access to a feature selection of 7-Eleven’s most popular convenience items, among them energy drinks, ice cream and personal care products, delivered by Grubhub drivers.

Kyle Goings, director of growth and new verticals at  Grubhub, stated, “Diners have come to expect more choices when they land on Grubhub, including convenience options, which we see as a natural extension of our marketplace and a way to bring more value to the entire Grubhub ecosystem,” …“We’ve been working with 7-Eleven for years to offer their locations on the Grubhub marketplace, and it was a no-brainer to team up with the convenience leader again and bring their operational expertise and scale to Grubhub Goods. Together, we are making it even easier for diners to order convenience items and satisfy any quick cravings right from the Grubhub app.”

Now how this is going to work, with the expansion to thousands of Grubhub Goods locations in partnership with 7-Eleven builds on Grubhub’s existing owned Grubhub Goods location in Brooklyn, N.Y., where the inventory and delivery are managed by Grubhub. To mark the national launch of Grubhub Goods with 7-Eleven, Grubhub is offering customers 50% off on orders of $15 and up.
