Now you have
one more reason to visit your favorite 7-Eleven to get your ‘Big Gulp or Big
Bite’. 7-Eleven is expanding its brand
promise while extending an incremental branded invitation to consumers by offering
UPS Smart Locker Program at another 300 locations in 13 states.
Last
week 7-Eleven and United Parcel Service
Inc. struck an agreement whereby UPS’ Access Point self-service lockers will be
placed at select convenience store locations in 13 states. In total, UPS plans
to expand its locker program, now available at nine Chicago 7-Eleven locations,
to 300 locations nationwide.
In
a report from UPS’ Pulse of the Online Shopper study,” more than half of avid
online shoppers who make two or more online purchases in a typical three-month
time period are interested in an alternate delivery location with extended
hours.”
Here
is how the program drives customers to 7-Eleven when a “UPS driver is unable to
make a delivery a consumer’s residence, they can leave a note indicating when
and where the package will be available for pickup at a local 7-Eleven
location. To pick up the package at an Access Point location, consumers need to
have a UPS InfoNotice alert or tracking number and a valid photo
identification.”
Understanding
that consumers drive by your outlet every day the question become how do you
get new and incremental customers into the door? This Omni-channel program does just that while
edifying both 7-Eleven’s brand and UPS creating a platform of customer
security, with an invitation to visit a retail outlet rather than just shopping
online.
Now
on your way home from work Online shoppers can stop by 7-Eleven retrieve their
purchase and pick up either a Ready-2-Eat or Heat-N-Eat fresh prepared pizza,
big bite, big gulp, or Slurpee as if anyone needed another reason. Have you extended your brand promise? Are you giving consumers another reason to
stop in and shop your stores?
